Seeing reports of cooler water everywhere. This is going to draw the bass into the beaches on bait.

I have watched this for a few years. We're having the same year this year as last. The cooler nights are already here. Got the same last year...Fishing was all but done by the first week of October here.  Years ago ~9-10 there was so much bait here it kept fish around...now the peanut bunker aren't here like they used to...less blues, no more scraps....no more stripers.

wow thats strange cause in jersey the bass hung around allthrew late december and i also saw a couple of blue fish caught late in the season as well with the waters being on the cool side for bluefish........last year i didnt catch one blue fish.........got alot fluke and stripers though
 
my fall run was good.............anyway hang in there salty :)

just in from morning walk with dog..
definately turned a corner, weatherwise, for sure.
50 degrees...deer are moving around more in the woods..
and had the "fall feel" for certain..
 
you could very well be correct, as the pattern has been more like what you describe, the past few years here.
