What is a lure that makes a lot noise/commotion on the surface?

I fish for GT's, land based, (boats too easy! ha ha), Looking to see if I can  make one.

Most guys use BIG poppers similar to the GT popper kit I sell.
Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way....Alan Watts

Thanks, I have a bunch, how heavy is yours?  It looks like a dumbbell popper.   
You know of any stick baits?  That would imitate bait fish?

6 oz. There's lots of Japanese lures out there for GT. Stickbaits too..

Warm yes, 30" of snow yes too.
