finishing resin lures
« on: May 27, 2016, 11:16:27 PM »
Hello folks,

Im casting two part resin lures mixed with micro-spheres.  I'm getting a lot of fish eyes in my clear top coat.  The resin manufacturer says I need to wait 4 or 5 days for the resin to loose all the volatiles, others say at least two weeks.  I don't have that kind of patience.  Anyone have a clever trick to speed up the process?

Thanks for any help...

Fisheyes usually means oils have contaminated something. Are you using any release agent? Handling with uncovered hands? Your not going to speed much up if it has extended cure.
