A Palmer man hauled in a 25-pound lake trout while fishing in Quabbin Reservoir last week. William Roy's fish story earned him a state record, according to the state Division of Fisheries & Wildlife. His catch tipped the scales at 25 pounds 7 ounces - with a length of 33 inches and a girth of 26 inches. Fisheries & Wildlife maintains records on
top freshwater fish catches (http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/dfg/dfw/hunting-fishing-wildlife-watching/fishing/massachusetts-freshwater-fish-records.html). The big fish reportedly was caught off Gate 43 in Hardwick :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ [/l]
