Title: TINS
Post by: Out Fishing on September 20, 2010, 08:18:40 PM
Very soon. The 1 3/4 swims unbelieveable. The 3/4 oz was a bit light on my Legend surf rod today with 20 lb power pro. It swam sweet too but the bigger one just punched through 30 mph winds very nicely and was the absolute winner on a blustery day here today in Maine.

Hey Handy,

I'll be moving around Sandy Hook and Asbury Park.  I fish Asbury a lot but haven't really fished the Hook yet so i thought I would head in that direction and give it a shot.  Plus it will allow me to learn that area.  If you ever see a green Xterra with a bunch of fishing stickers and tinted windows thats me.  If you ever get up to that area let me know and we can meet up to fish.

Not a problem.  i intend to fish it hard anyway! should cast extremely nice with the mojo and next week i get my 704 back from a guy in stratford Ct That is getting completely customized with a new sideplate, handle, drilled rotor and spool and powdercoated black.  it should cast amazing when paired with the mojo 704 combo.  will report back on Monday.

Looking good Salty - just like the stuff I remember hanging on the garage wall when I was a kid - real classics. I've gotta learn how to do those eye holes with the grommets. Beautiful pieces.

went out on tuesday and got a keeper bass about 430 in the morning on a black bomber.  when the sun came up the water was like glass and that was it for the fish.  going back in about two weeks.  hopefully the fish will be there by then.  will report back after the next trip.  the tin has great swimming action.  can't wait to catch on it. at least i got to break in my new reel!

Really nice detail. That was a stroke of luck finding that stuff. Makes you wonder how many of the old tins are still out there; not a lot I'd bet. I sure as hell haven't found them and I've done plenty of looking. Funny how old plugs are a dime a dozen, but no tins to speak of.

stuff came out pretty decent. No 100% thrilled but it's not original masters either...They look fantastic though even if some of the scale detail is less than they were originally.

The Salty's GOFISH tin has been the clear favorite still. Thanks for the great feedback!

Making a change to all pocket packs of tins, there will now be:

15 sandeel
175 anchovy
15 butterfish
125 peanut bunker and jelly
125 weasel

This makes a better rounding out of the tins we offer and I think this makes a better grouping of sizes of tins also
