Title: Glitter
Post by: Hobieblue on January 07, 2012, 11:45:44 AM
When is the best stage to apply glitter to finish a plug?  Final paint, first clear coat, or final clear coat?  What's the best type of glitter to use?

Thanks.

Hobie,
Years ago, in a craft store, I found a super fine glitter in a clear glass "vial" that is amazing.  There were about 4 colors in the pack but I went with the sort of clear/flash color.  I mixed it in with my envirotex when mixing and applied it.  Came out great.  Get a nice flash on the whole plug.  It is NOT like the shiny stuff you apply to the tops of plugs.  It is super-fine.  Just my opinion
