Perfect for North-east Saltwater top water

WILD! One of my favorite poppers! |

1.25 oz Size
Solid Rock Maple,
individually sealed for maximum
durability,
primed, painted, and clear coated.
Weighted perfectly for optimum presentation, these poppers will sit tail
down in the water so they will walk the dog along with throwing water to
look like baitfish. These have hand tied buck tails with flash finished
with a durable epoxy.
2/0 VMC Permasteel 4X strong Belly hook, 5/0 Siwash tail hook, 150 lb
swivels and 2X strong split rings! Recessed Holographic eyes for maximum effect!
I make all my plugs standard with Siwash hooks for
best hook-up!Nice erratic
action to these poppers, they can be fished real slow for the cows.
When I fish the rips and Elizabeth Islands you will always find an
Olive/White popper on at least one rod in the boat if not all of them!
I
fish these with a 6'6" rod/12 lb test on the boat and a 8'6" rod/20 lb
test in coves around Cape Cod and Maine. Enough weight to get you out
there and just the right size.
I've caught cows on these things just
letting them drift with no action at all...veeerry slow on top is a
killer.

I get asked a lot about what colors are best?
Olive/White mimics a nice size sand eel or baitfish color and
size.. Black/Silver makes a perfect small fish/bunker imitation with
it's high contrast.
Electric
Squid is a great color to imitate frightened squid as they flee
predator fish in the rips and rocks of the northeast. Middle Ground
at the end of May..Sunrise...Yellow or Parrot at sunrise or
cloudy days.
Parrot works well on sunny days too, we've taken many
bass with them at Martha's Vineyard. On sunny days I stick with
a color that has a high definition color hue change on
it....Olive/White, Blue/White, etc.
Spend some time looking at the
bait prevalent in your area and you will soon understand why certain
colors can give you just that little bit of extra advantage to entice a
larger fish to take your lure.
Don't be afraid to use such colors as Olive/White, Blue/White, or
Yellow/White at night either!
Lot's of people don't fish poppers at night but they are a very
effective way to catch fish if you stay in contact with the plug.
Fish them barb-less for an easy release and the health of our fish
stocks! I've lost only a few fish in my life to barb-less hooks and
they've all been faster runners than I can reel to keep tight to
them!
