Lure spinner question

I've read all the stuff on the other pages and looked at the photos. I'm building my own spinner for rotating lures. My question is related to the distance between the eyehooks. How wide is optimal from those who built ones already. I can see where making it too long may allow sagging and too short may prevent spinning some needles like the canal special...

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated as the painting is nearing completion. Besides, I have to do something. The boat is pulled and ice is setting in despite the fact we are catching big stripers. Friend of mine caught a 40+ lber off the Virginia coast the other day...Want to be ready when they come close.

if you want a small one I'd do 10-12" or go 2' and string two lures at a time together. paperclips and springs are your friends

Duct tape works well for alot of stuff. Problem is two things. 1 is it doesn't stay stuck to itself forever. The ends always start peeling. 2 is it leaves a REALLY nasty residue behind. It's a royal pain in the ass to clean it off.

Your humor isn't lost on us either!

The best use of duct tape that I've seen was to repair rusted running rails on 4X4s in the Outer Banks. The trick is to use a wire brush and clean the scale and other crud off the rotted out piece, fill it with spray foam, and then cover with duct tape. If you want it permanent add some roofing tar...I've seen engines fall off from rust and the body still hold together.

I don't understand? who's Tim s and what does he do?

I don't know much about Tim either, but I do know that the last place you'll find him is on Salty's Christmas card list. If the two of them ever meet up, it'll be the biggest thing to hit pay-per-view since Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Tommy Hearns. I know I'd buy a ticket.
