Here is a 1.5 oz slim needle fish that I modified by shortening it to 6 inch length by cutting off from the front, then I slimmed it down and flattened the sides on the front from a little behind the eyes forward, I hope the second picture shows that. Then I also added 3/16 oz tail weight. It casts like a bullet and swims with a nice lazy side to side motion, can hardly wait to use it this year.

The way you weighted that is how I do the 2 oz needle kit. Works pisser! I think you'll do well with it!
