weights before sealing?
« on: December 28, 2010, 05:33:41 PM »
Hey guys, does anyone ever epoxy weights in first then seal the plug?
I could see the bridge was lined with bears, but I didn't have a dog gone dime.

belly yes.......i do tail weights when im putting the plug togeather  once the belly hook is in ...ill put epoxy in the tail weight hole       slide the tail weight on   and  complete the plug    the extra epoxy in the tail weight hole aids in sealing the plug a little more :)

thanks guys, I'm gonna try it. couple of my last plugs I got the belly weight in too far for the wire to go through. when I cleaned them up for the wire I was afraid I might have eroded the sealed wood in some sections. I'm thinking put in the weight, make sure the wire is ok, then seal.
