NICE! Good job on the eel colors too.

Thanks guys.

I performed a swim test of my Pikie today. It looks like it has major potential:

Wow very nice! How did you find the fit and finish on those nshorefisher? Did you encounter any issues in building these?

the pike-zilla was a little rough. Had some good gouges, but was able to sand them out for the most part. I'm still having a hard time with the jointeds. If you look close at the one I posted, I ended up screwing up the through wire on the tail piece, had to cut it and ended up using magnum screw eyes...lol. All my fault, just have to get better at turning tail loops. I need to post more pics. Have a bunch more to show you. The hand carved is a s$%t show for me. Never looked at the online diagram(ooops...lol), so that might not come out too great. My ONLY problem I have with your kits is that I don't have more! ;D

Gouges from things in the bag?

You have to practice tail loops. Watch the video I have on yootoob that is one of the easiest ways to do it.

not really sure....there were some spots that were splintered and had some gouges like you get from turning. No biggie though, just sanded down, and ready to roll.
