# test on the through wires
« on: February 08, 2011, 09:13:58 AM »
Hey Salty what is the test strength on the .062 through wire? Do you (or anyone else) know if the tail wrap diminishes the strength like a knot in line or rope would? Never had any problems, just trying to understand some of the forces going on at the crucial times. thanks guys.
I could see the bridge was lined with bears, but I didn't have a dog gone dime.

ALOT more than you can exert with the drag on a fishing reel. Unless you horse the crap out of the wire too many times then it gets extremely brittle and will shear.
