A Palmer man hauled in a 25-pound lake trout while fishing in Quabbin Reservoir last week. William Roy's fish story earned him a state record, according to the state Division of Fisheries & Wildlife. His catch tipped the scales at 25 pounds 7 ounces - with a length of 33 inches and a girth of 26 inches. Fisheries & Wildlife maintains records on
top freshwater fish catches
. The big fish reportedly was caught off Gate 43 in Hardwick
