Title: Fishing the Thames River, CT
Post by: Out Fishing on March 21, 2012, 07:31:53 AM
I live about 1 mile from the Thames River in CT. I am usually a freshwater bass fisherman, but I am expanding my abilities. Has anyone fished for stripers or bluefish in the river? Where in the river do you fish? What lures do you use? I would appreciate any help in this matter. My wife and I want to make this summer a better one. Thanks!

You can find holdover stripers around the docks in the harbor right now, small jighs work well. As the season progresses larger fishw ill be in this area as herring move into the river, and later bunker usually hsow up and draw larger bass and blues.
