Good job on your objective Patrick. It looks like your having fun and learning at the same time!
You have good colors there, red/white head is deadly as are the greens and yellows you have on the others.
Make gills easily by taking a sharp knife and cutting a slit in a piece of milk carton. Lay it over the lure and lightly spray over the milk carton and remove. You can repeat on the other side and theres your gills.
"chicken scratch" color is done the same way but poking holes in plastic and spraying through that. You can heat it with a hair dryer and bend to a nice shape too...
