Title: May I add some weight or not?
Post by: Out Fishing on October 25, 2013, 06:14:39 PM
Hi:

This is my recent work, a darter aprox. 5'' long

and weight almost 2oz, almost 2oz because my weight balance is not exact.

I have not try it at beach yet, what I can say is that floats, water cover 3/4 of his body and stay horizontal..

To those who have done this before, what do you think? deserve weight or I must leave it as is?

Thanks for you advices..

Welcome to darter hell....step right in

The BEST darter is made of birch and is unweighted. darters should not be weighted. Period. There's a reason why Danny Pichney was well known for his darter. It was Birch and unweighted.
