Here are two of the 1.5 oz Surfsters, I modified the yellow one to a single set of treble hooks, the black and purple one was my second kit

tksurf those are very nice! this is one of the reasons I started this forum. Different ideas for others.

Any idea how the surfster swims with the one hook? I'm sure it swims real nice those lips will swim just about anything.

Your scales look awesome. I'm going to do a video tutorial when I get some time on how to do that.

The scale pattern came from a mesh bag that some pearl onions came in, I quickly learned to carefully peel the mesh off while the paint was still wet.  The surfster with the single hook swims very well, as I remember I drilled in some extra weight in the belly also. Learning as I go.

Produce section is a great area for netting..Box of clementines,onion bags,tomatoes on the vine all have netting that I've used for scales....
