(1/1)

I like it.  Its similar to an agitator and mini jig I used for white bass in fresh water.  Have also caught largemouth on a rig similar to this.

They're very popular Bob. I found that in a book up here in our library and some years later got a original copy of the book for my collection. The originals were broomsticks not eggs.

Bob La Londe:
The agitaters used for white bass are all kinds of shapes, although the most popular is cylindrical with a square main line end and a rounded leader end.  Square front popper style.

My uncle made some years ago by hand on his wood lathe that were shaped like old style buoys and we caught tons of whites using them.  If you aren't already as busy as you can handle you might see if you can market them to white bass fishermen.  We used to take a five gallon bucket with us, and many times we had to quit because the bucket was full.  Most popular trailer bait was a 1/16 oz jig with white maribou or white curly tail.  Second most popular was the same in black.  Yellow was third.
