General wood question
« on: November 12, 2012, 11:48:58 AM »
New to this plug building thing and diggin it.
In general it seems top water plugs seem to use mostly some type of cedar.
Any thing that sinks or sub surface would be hardwood......Birch, Maple ect
Are my thoughts right????
Any help would be apprciated

Need to place harware order from Salty's and get these plugs in action.......

Thanks Bill

You are learning well Bill. What you want is buoyant woods like cedars, pine, poplar, etc for topwater. Anything else takes much less lead to get it below the surface.
