well gents im back i should haved trained for this trip.....threw a lot of plugs and metals...not much to talk about ....but did manage to nail 2 large blues on the blabber  mouth popper  nothing like seeing  a popper working the surface and just behind it is a wake   with some  strike 1 and then strike 2  and strike three and then you cross his eyes BAM!!   also got a short bass on a metal....i did see a lot of people catching fish with bait............oh say salty  that wobbler( gigantic jitter bug ) works great nice action didnt manage to get any hits on it but thats cause the bite went sour  at low tide i waded out on the sand bar hitting the pockets   and saw some fish cruse right by me  oh well next week....... :)

to answer yer question 1 1.2 hour to the point, maybe 1hr.  & 10 minutes to the hook. my dilemma is I kept a nice size boat in point, it was my second home and a place to stay so thats why I went there for the last 10 yrs. got real familiar with the area so thats where I prolly will still fish. I sold the boat in Sept. so now have no place to stay. kinda stupid passing the hook area to fish central jersey  :-[
