Field Testing
« on: August 27, 2012, 07:21:02 PM »
When do you guys field-test your designs: before or after you paint or even seal them? With/without eyes or hooks? Also: is it OK to make test designs out of cheap wood, and save the good stuff for later? Thanks for your help.

They need to be sealed or they're not going very far. You need to test with everything on the lure and preferably a coat of paint. It does make a difference in how lures float.
