Title: where to get AYC
Post by: Out Fishing on May 24, 2010, 07:17:01 PM
Where can I get Alaska Yellow Cedar in 3/4in boards?? I can find spindles, but not boards.
Also, is there an alternative wood, that has the same density? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Im currently usung red cedar for a lot of my plugs as well. Like the AYC much better.

Port Orford Cedar is similar I have a few 2x6 left of that but most is cut now that is left.

AYC boards are not super easy to find. Try ebay too.

Thanx for the input, fellow plug fanatics. Im new to the site, and gotta say, the work I see is top notch stuff.
I need any 3/4in planks 4in wide or more. I make mostly inshore stuff like topwaters, twitchbaits, and jerkbaits for specks and pups. Ill look at the suppliers you guys mentioned for sure.
Thanks again.
