Yup bad stuff! Got fish poisoning years ago when we used to use red fish racks, the spin stuck me in the palm, hand swelled up like a basket ball  :-[

Amen to that - there are some nasty bugs out there waiting to pounce. When I took a fall a few weeks back, I was scared shitless until the cuts started to heal. The water gets near 90 degrees in the river and there's thick mud everywhere - perfect conditions for breeding all kinds of pathogens. I went out and bought some of that nu-skin stuff to cover any nicks I get in the future. Some of those bugs can kill you.
