FWIW: we had a yard sale last weekend and I put some of my homemade tins out just for the sheer hell of it. I was surprised at the interest they drew and I even sold a few. (believe me, I'm not looking to go into the lure business) But what really surprised me was that I had to explain the advantages of real tins to guys who do a lot of fishing. I suspect that if Scott gets his out there, he's gonna do pretty well, especially considering that he's already got a loyal following and a high skill level. I had more than one guy tell me that they'd never seen anything like them before, including one lure that was an exact duplicate of a tin spoon from the 1940's. Maybe real tins have been out of the mainstream long enough to be new again.

2013 would be OK - by then, I'll probably be tired of making my own.

2013 will probably be about the time I stop sticking needles in this little jimmy doll I have here :)

Hook points work a lot better than needles - makes for some bloodcurdling screams when you rip the barbs out.
