surfster kits
« on: January 04, 2011, 11:00:59 AM »
hi salty. recently purchased some kits as gifts. Are the surfsters (lg and small) diving lures or surface lures? with the slope heads i thought they were divers, but somebody pointed out that the description says "wags on the surface". or, can they be 'tuned' either way? thanks.

surfsters are always surface lures. The slope head on a surfster allows the water to plane over the top of the lure and allow the nose to dig which gives it a big tail wag.

the 3 oz danny slope head is a diving swimmer and it uses a completely different lip to do so..

thanks for the quick response. guess i'll put an order together. just noticed the hand carved swimmer kit. looks like a good bunker/shad imitator.  has it been field tested on stripers yet?
