Group Plug Trade?
« on: January 02, 2011, 10:12:55 AM »
This is popular with a lot of fly tyers, so i thought maybe it could work out with our craft. Basically a number of lure makers (lets say 12) and each make 12 identical lures. everyone ships out those 12 to a central location/person and then reshipped back but with a lure from each maker.  Lures can be 'themed' or it can be just whatever we enjoy making or using.

ex with smilies:
i make/ship  ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

we each get back ??? ::) :P :-[ :-X :-\ :-* :'( >:D ^-^ :laugh: :)

what do you guys think?

Yeah, time would be the deal breaker - I can tie a dozen flies in an hour or two, but lures are a different story. A one for one random swap might be a viable option. Just have everybody draw a name like we used to do at school for Christmas.

Got me laughing all day... hey, that's what makes it so funny, its true.  but look at the bright side, if I don't like the color, in a few weeks I get to change it.
