faux finish
« on: January 03, 2010, 01:00:44 PM »
say gents!! while messing in my shop working on a small popper ( painting it) i happend to screw up on my top coat so instead of starting over i started ragging off the paint ..now im creating an effect  since the rag has somewhat wide fibers. looks great with pearlized....im also blending 3 differant colors  you can eather sponge on, or off the paint ...but im keeping the belly white pearlized.....im guessing when i applie my 2 part epoxy finish with flakes  it should show some depth..........and marble effect.......ah! the fish wont care

tight lines    handyman!

put a white base coat down, let it dry then hit it with a dark color...while it's nice and wet hit it with a piece of rag or foil...mix em all up and you got marble...

I did that last year on a pencil.  Looks amazing!  Very "Fisherman" catchy!  Dunno about the fish...haven't had the gutz to fish it.  Too purrrrty!
