5/32 redrill
« on: March 09, 2010, 05:59:30 PM »
I have 3 oz. Danny & Slopehead swimmer kits.
Insructions say to redrill tail to head hole with 5/32 bit to fit two belly weights.
Through hole is already drilled at 5/32... Weights don't fit.
My first kits. What am I missing?

Croaker the weights go into the center belly hole one on top of another. After you epoxy those in and it dries you need to take a small drill and run it through the thru hole to get the wire back through the lead because it now blocks the center hole. Anything larger than 1/16 will do it but try to keep it small so you don't hog out 1/2 the weight in there.

Yeah I'm going to order that bit from you also.  It's a pain locally except ordering through some of our suppliers
