only when the hatches are on, especially the first week in May.  I'm the guy hiking up and down the west branch, or up to my armpits on the mainbranch.  Spoiles you, doesn't it.  I don't trout fish anywhere else, well hardly anywhere else.

Hello
my name is Andrew.  i grew up fishing the cape and islands.  Live and work in Boston now.  I fish salt and fresh from maine to NY.  I mostly fish saltwater but have begun doing a lot more freshwater in the early spring while i wait for the blues and stripers to arrive.  I have found several great largemouth spots in the falmouth area (email me if your interested).  A note to Shark, i too am lacking a lathe.  I was able to find several nice wood carving knives online and have had countless hours of complete happiness carving lures from Salty's 4ft Port Orford Cedar Balusters.  On that note, ANY tips or advice is very welcome.  I started this without any idea what i was doing.  I still know very little so no advice is too basic.  If i can figure out how to post pics, i will send in what i have made so far (mostly darters, big mouth poppers and pencil poppers).  Thanks and Happy Fishing to one and all!

Hi guys! my name is keith and I'm from the tiny town of Mi
llville,MA. I spend a ton of time in the woods or on the water and always with my two boys (6 & 16) . I was brought up fishing Westport Ma and that's where I spend most of my time.  I started building my own rods last year and love the feeling you get catching something on what you built!  This seemed like a logical hobby! I bought a lathe and played around with some cheap balluster stock and now its time to get down to business!!! As long as the snow cuts me a break!
