Fish traps and Vision Eel seem to be the hot lure in the surf here in Central California. I love the top water lures from Salty and am looking for suggestions for something that would swim underwater, cast well and mimic small fish. Simple? thanks
well salty carry's some smaller plugs & kits he's got the lil surfster kit and the crazybugger they are in the 1.0/1.5 oz range......plus the hand carved kits..................tins lets not forget the tins they cast well the V2 nice small bait fish pattern........good luck! :)
TINS for sure!
Amen to that - I had a chance to check out Salty's tins at the RI show, and they are superb. One thing about tins: when they get scratched up, just get out the Dremel and give them a quick polishing, and they're as good as new.
Another vote for Scott's Tins. With the new additions to the Tin lineup, there's a good selection of body lengths and profiles to match most small bait fish in the surf here on the So.Jersey beaches I fish.
Blues in all sizes, some Stripers and the last few years I've been targeting Fluke with good results.
Tins and Metal's...Fun!
benny hill................oops im mean bill hill...........and the tins cut threw the wind nicely...........if theres any thing thats gona mimik small bait its the tins.....i pick up a bunch at the somerset show :)
