Title: Plugs to replace soft swimbaits
Post by: Bill Hill on April 06, 2011, 12:32:26 AM
Fish traps and Vision Eel seem to be the hot lure in the surf here in Central California.  I love the top water lures from Salty and am looking for suggestions for something that would swim underwater, cast well and mimic small fish.  Simple?   thanks

Amen to that - I had a chance to check out Salty's tins at the RI show, and they are superb. One thing about tins: when they get scratched up, just get out the Dremel and give them a quick polishing, and they're as good as new.

Another vote for Scott's Tins. With the new additions to the Tin lineup, there's a good selection of body lengths and profiles to match most small bait fish in the surf here on the So.Jersey beaches I fish.
Blues in all sizes, some Stripers and the last few years I've been targeting Fluke with good results.
Tins and Metal's...Fun!
