is'nt that stuff kinda harsh on your balls....try utter balm  :)

I'd try a Brillo pad if I thought it might get 'em working the way they used to.

Scott,
Tins came in this week. Nice job! ThankYou!
My season starts next week. Best time of the year, Lots O free time, for Me...  Oct. Thru Dec.
I have an old 4oz Tin of my dads that's pretty crude, deep-V,fixed hook. No front eye.
Your welcome to it for scrap or collection. shines up nice.
Thanks again,

Your Welcome Tom. I hope you get a fish on that. That is an unfinished one-no eyelet in the nose. It may wear faster than normal but should give you a few outings.

Let us know how you do!

Never thought of using "Pappy's Tin". Yea, drill a hole, put her to work.  Hooks abit rusty.
Some good MOJO there... he's been gone for three yrs. now.

Salty, check this one out. If this guy actually sells any of these, I'm gonna buy a pig, make myself an ingot mold, and start looking for a beach house. I wonder how you go about hiring a butler these days.

I called nathan trotter today and they quoted me $15/lb by the pig. I laughed.

I can buy it cheaper through rotometals at 1lb at a time than that!

I'll make Peter hate me even more now.

4 hours work  :)

One more session and I'm all done for this year with Tin. Got to concentrate on lead for a while.

Salty

Well I got to say these tins have been a big hit. I'm 9 pocket packs behind right now and waiting for plano boxes to come in Wednesday. Almost out of 3 oz butterfish again too. When they're gone that's it for a long time.

found 12 more pounds at $10 a lb yesterday. Last tin for this year. This stuff wont' last the winter the way it's going.

Peterjay

I stand by my prediction that you're gonna have a waiting list. I showed my stuff to a friend who did an article on making tins for On the Water last fall, and the first thing he said was that demand was gonna greatly exceed supply. When his article came out, people were beating down his door trying to buy his stuff. He sold a few on the condition that the buyers keep their mouths shut - he doesn't have the time to be selling lures. One guy tried to order 2 dozen of a spoon he made that's similar to mine. My compliments on a job well done. Now you're gonna have to deal with some heat when your supply runs out.

42 lbs of tin on the scale. Today was the last pouring day for tin this year. I've officially poured over 140 lbs of tins now so far. Every single morsel is now gone. I'm out completely. Peter you can start buying it again the price will now drop :)
